British rapper and a grime legend, Skepta, stopped by Amsterdam on his SkLEVEL tour and lit up the place with energy and neon.

Paradiso was the fitting setting for a crowd that was eagerly anticipated the North London artist, throughout a plenty of work from the support acts. Fellow Boy Better Know veteran, Frisco provided one such act, with his diverse range of flows and catalogue of hits educating some in the audience about grime history.

Also, Scribz of 67 and Lancey Foux helped to warm up the crowd, completing a dynamic mix of grime, drill and trap on an evening geared around the headline act. When he eventually took to the stage, he stood out in a striking neon tracksuit stood amongst an impressive light show.

With so many tracks in his armoury, everyone seemed to have a personal favourite but the universally popular Shutdown sent the room into chaos. With some of the crowd being very young, it was refreshing to see such a demographic engage with the music and to have the chance to do so with an artist who will go down as a true great.

Paradiso feels like the perfect venue for these high-profile-yet-intimate shows and their impressive schedule continues with Amsterdam icon, Ray Fuego and YG both having shows later this month.
